Abstract
Analyzes, taking as its starting point the conciliar Constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium on the Sacred Liturgy of Vatican II, especially the numbers 60, 61, 62 and 79, the process of preparing the ritual blessings promulgated in 1984. The 23th study group was responsible for reviewing the section of the Roman Ritual regarding blessings. This work was performed in two stages. The first phase covers the years 1970 to 1974, and can be identified as preparation and guidance. The second phase, phase redaction comprises a period of 10 years (1974-1984). After treating the iter editorial presents the general structure of the liturgical book and its contents. Finally, identified the structure of the typical liturgical blessings, it is a study of the theological and liturgical main parts, namely: first part: the proclamation of God’s word, action that gives meaning to the signs themselves the celebration of blessings, and also solidifies strengthens the faith required for the celebration, second part: the formula of blessing or prayer of the Church, which is structurally in praise of the divine goodness filing with the aid of heaven. The Ritual of blessings in his typical structure of blessings, whether express the conviction that God is the source of all blessings, that he is a human being called to recognize and give thanks for your benefits, and at the same time can use confidently regarding their needs for spiritual type, and other activities inherent in the Christian world.
