Notions of person and family: personalist perspectives in the 20th century
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper examines the conceptualization of the person, according to the personal perspective, and then analyzes how this vision could be applied to family representation in the conciliar and postconciliar historical context. A review of the literature is carried out, consulting some of the main representatives of this current of thought, such as Jacques Maritain and Dietrich Von Hildebrand. This activity shows that important sectors of the Catholic Church assume personalistic arguments as prerogative for the defense and valorization of the person and concrete projects in the field of birth control as a resource to combat the moral crisis that afflicted humanity.
