Abstract: Through a didactic analysis of Saint Hilary of Poitiers’ ecclesiological view, the author demonstrates how the image of the “Body of Christ”, applied to the Church, expresses the character of identity founded in the person of Christ, who assumed the human gender, giving it the perspective of salvation. Such “assumption” of the humanity in Christ, thanks to his glorious body, manifests the mysterious union that reveals the eschatological implications of the Kingdom of God.
