Main Article Content
Abstract
“The Brothers Karamazov” incontestably became one of the greatest world literature classics. Undoubtedly figures as one of the main works from the Russian author Fyodor M. Dostoievsky. The book tells the story of the complex Karamazov family, specially the disturbed relation among the father Fyodor Pavlovich and his sons: Dmitri, Ivan and Alexei. Alexei Fyodorovich Karamazov or “Alyosha” is the youngest son. He is a monk, a character with a fascinating personality. Throughout the plot the reader naturally falls in love with the young guy and his peculiar attitudes. The object of this work is to verify if the author obeyed “in the character building” the inclusion of minimum elements referent to the life of a “Christian” as: calling, combat (in this first part of the paper), discernment and joy (in the part to come).
