Abstract
It is discussed, in the spirit of the future international theological symposium promoted by the Congregation for Bishops, on a fundamental theology of the priesthood, of baptismal and ministerial character, while inserted in a community and ecclesial perspective, where the priest, member of the Church, configures the Christ to act in his person in his service.
