Abstract

In this article, we consider that some current ideas on women, including femininity, the social, cultural, historical roles, rights, education, feminism, among others, are the result of a distorted or even ignorant view of human reality. Some of these ideas have as one of their main advocates and propagandists activist Margaret Sanger, whose perceptions and worldviews have spread like a virus, generating the social disease that is feminism today. On the other hand, ideas grounded in an anthropological and realistic approach to human nature, such as those of Edith Stein, did not have the same comprehensiveness and dissemination. This article aims to appreciate the two opposing worldviews, based mainly on the ideas of these two contemporary women, and propose an inversion: from illness to cure - from Sanger to Stein. To this end, different aspects of feminism are approached, as well as Sanger’s socialist views, and the advent of Stein’s personalistic anthropology; it also indicates how this great philosopher sought to delineate a new way of understanding femininity and masculinity, and how the essence of the human being, apprehended through a search for the most intimate of each person, can indicate his or her vocation and individual mission. This is the basis of what is known as the New Feminism, which will be proposed here as a “vaccine” against the virus of ideas prevalent in today’s feminism, especially in Marxist revolutionary feminism, which generated the intellectual monstrosity that is gender feminism.
