On the idea of university: Culture of quality and new evangelization
Main Article Content
Abstract
The starting point of this article is the idea of Newman University as a locus of universal knowledge based in philosophy and theology. The question about the status of theology as a science will emerge in introducing an analogy between the epistemologies of science and theology, arguing that the latter possesses an instance of oblique truth in relation to the first ones, which ensures uniformity of knowledge and maintenance of an original concept of the university. Then, it will deal about the culture of quality, its concept and its importance to the concretion of the idea of university stated here.
