Saint Justin Martyr and the Dialogue with Trypho

Abstract
The Dialogue with Trypho is one of the texts that compose the polemical jewishchristian literature in the first centuries of the Common Age. An important document is at stake, where as reveal significant elements about the relation among jews and christians in the II century, mainly in Rome, where, probably, Justin wrote the work. In this introductory article, are presented some biographical information about Saint Justin and the mainly questions around his work, as the text dating, the controversy about the intentions of the Christian philosopher, his target audience and what we can say about the jew Trypho.
